Meeting & Competition, May 16, 2006

We had another very large turnout this month, with over 50 people, for Competition Night.  We were pleased to have Dale Gilkinson, President of the Southern California PSA Roundup Chapter, judge and critique our competition.  Before the competition Diane Racey, presented a short slide program explaining PSA and the benefits for individuals and clubs as well.

 

Dale gave excellent critiques on each and every entry.  Arley Clark used the video camera to project each print onto the overhead screen, so that the photos could easily be seen by all.

Almost 60 entries were shown and critiqued, in 5 different classes… novice, amateur, advanced, and master prints, as well as an open slide class.  Congratulations to all the winners!

Congratulations to Jerry Stowell, the $44 winner of the 50/50 drawing.

• May 25th  – Field Trip to the Nethercutt Museum
• June 20th  – LPA Year End Competition and Installation of Officers (Potluck)
