Civil War Reenactment at Calico Ghost Town

[image1_left] On Sunday, February 14th, we will travel to Calico Ghost Town to photograph the Civil War Reenactment. Calico Ghost Town will come alive with the sounds of bugles, and the thunder of cannon and musket fire.

Calico Ghost Town, in partnership with the American Civil War Society, invites you to come and witness the Civil War come alive with historic presentations, troop inspections, artillery demonstrations, military battles, and much more!

Battles will take place at 11:45 am and 2:30 pm. There will also be live music from Occasional Strings and other performers. Civil War themed crafts are also available for kids to enjoy.

Admission to the event is $10.00 for adults, $6.00 for youth (6-15), and free for children 5 and under. For more information on the event or for camping reservations, please call 800-TO-CALICO or visit www.sbcountyparks.com. For more information on the American Civil War Society visit www.acws.net. There may be a parking fee, around $5-$10.

We’ll meet up for breakfast at Denny’s in Mojave (16262 Sierra Hwy) at 7 am, and depart at 8:15 am. You can also meet up with us at Calico (36600 Ghost Town Rd, Yermo, CA). It’s located off the I-15, at Ghost Town exit.  We’ll meet at the old schoolhouse at 9:30 am for a group photo.
