PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA (PSA) REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2017

PSA Annual Conference, Pittsburg, PA: The 2017 conference will be held at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center on October 8th - October 14th, 2017.  Registration will begin April 17, 2017.

PSA Nature Division Interclub Competition (Round 2): There were no Awards or HMs.

PSA Projected Image Division Interclub Competition (Round 2):  There were no Awards or HMs. Entries for Round 3 close March 1, 2017.

Projected Image Division Creative Interclub (Round 1): Results are not available yet.

The Lancaster Photography Association has been asked to judge Group B of the PID Creative Interclub. The judges are the following: Terry Dickerson, Kathy Newman, and Douglas Wade.
 

PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub (Round 2): Entries for the PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub competition were the following: Dig by Brooke Sweat (David Wilkins), Happy Trails (Sue Liberto), Making a Big Splash (Scott Shackelford), Net Play (Christine Wilkins), Time Trialist (Bruce Cable), and Two Kids and a Dog (Richard Wood).

PSA Photo Travel Division Interclub Competition Results (Round 2): Entries close Feb 15

PSA Journal January: Nan Carder’s image Chimpanzees 6544 Mono was on the cover of the January PSA Journal. This image was the winner of the Pictorial Print Division Small Monochrome Print of the Year, and Nan received an award at the 2016 PSA conference in San Antonio, TX.

PSA Journal:

Scott Shackelford was recognized as being the new Photojournalism Division Interclub Competition Chairman. He is doing a great job. (page 43)

Shirl Airov-Bieling, Nan Carder, APSA, MPSA, and Helen Henry were recognized in the journal for judging the PSA Photo Travel Division Interclub competition.​
 

PSA International Exhibitions:

The Coachella Valley Desert Camera Club (CVDCC) International Exhibition entries will remain open until March 10, 2017.

The following Divisions and Sections are the following:
PID Color – General and Theme (Scapes)

PID Monochrome – General and Theme (Powered Transportation)

Nature – General and Wildlife

Entries are submitted through their Online Entry System.
