First Place - Newsletter Competition

Great news ---- the April 2011 LPA newsletter tied for first in the PSA's large club international newsletter competition out of 19 entries. It also tied for best calendar presentation.

 

Members' Photos Displayed at City Hall


Club News

You have a few more days to go and see the LPA's Best of the Year Exhibit at City Hall.

The images are up in the hallway between the two public lobbies. They look really nice and make a good addition to City Hall. Anyone is welcome to come check them out during City hall open hours. It is a great opportunity to see some fine finished photography. The exhibit will be up until August 5th.

The address is 44933 N. Fern Ave. Lancaster 93534 and the hours are  8:00am – 6:00pm M-Th | 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday.

LPA Awards in PSA EID


Club News

LPA finished up the year in Electronic Imaging Division (EID) with great success. Shayna by Bonnie Matthews received an Honorable Mention, Forked Tongue by Helen Henry received an Honorable Mention and Don Bennett with Cheetahs won an award. Lancaster Photography Association was the highest scoring club in the last and final round of Group 2 with 25 clubs competing.

This gave LPA a year end 3rd place year end finish. You can watch for results in the PSA Around the World postings.

LPA Members Do Well at S4C Banquet


Club News

On Saturday, June 4, 2011, twenty seven Lancaster Photography Association members traveled from the Antelope Valley to Alhambra. A nice lunch was had by all.
S4C President Stuart Lynn presided over the days happenings. The current Board of Directors and incoming Board of Directors were introduced. LPA members Helen Henry and Nan Carder will both remain on the S4C Board of Directors for the 2011-2012 year.

S4C has an honors program and this year Nan Carder earned her AS4C and Helen Henry earned her FS4C. Our members won many awards that day. They are listed below:
