General Meeting, September 20, 2005

Our program this month was presented by our LPA Vice President, Dennis Goodno.  Printers, Papers, and Inks… everything you ever wanted to know and info you never knew you were missing.  If you’d like a CD full of the latest information, and facts, contact Dennis at arley@adelphia.net.

Exciting and fun events are up coming and open to all LPA members.  Next week, (Tuesday Sept 27th) Fred Frederickson will be offering a critique session for those non-winning prints that you thought should be winners.  Next month, we have an OPEN photo competition.  New competition rules and classes were made available in the October newsletter, as well as at the LPA website.

Our Fall Color trip is rapidly approaching, but Mother Nature has not yet whispered into Lyle Trusty’s ear when that peak time will be.  Make sure you’re on the list so that you will have as much notice as possible as to when the trip will be.  Keep tabs on all the fall color at www.calphoto.com/fall.htm.

The LPA has been invited to have a show at Cedar Center for the month of December.  This will be an excellent opportunity for members to display their best work.  Works of art must be framed and matted and ready for gallery presentation.  This will be a juried art show.  For more information, contact chairman Lyle Trusty at dadtrusty@msn.com.

Fifty three members were present at our meeting, including six new guests.  We also gained 8 new members!  Our 50/50 pot this month was a biggie… Charlie Brown went home with $42 extra dollars in his pocket.
