LA Zoo Trip, November 19, 2005

Sixteen members made this trip on a beautiful Saturday morning.  Dennis Goodno led the trip, and had colorful maps, and instructions for all.  We started out with breakfast at Denny’s in Palmdale and made it to the zoo right around opening time.  .

The weather was just right for being outside.  Once we arrived, most of us spent some time around the meerkats and flamingos before heading our separate ways.

Even though a few exhibits were temporarily closed for the ongoing construction, there was much to see.  One of our favorite spots this time was the tiger exhibit with the main attraction being the two new tiger cubs.

The lion exhibit also drew a large crowd as the lions were up front and in a playful mood.

Everywhere we went, we kept running into members of our group and we exchanged stories about the best things to see.

We all had a good time and came back with lots of great photos.
