General Meeting - January 23, 2007

Over 50 people, including 6 visitors, attended our meeting.

Our program this evening, “The Art of Photographing Children” was presented by Julie Sutton, of Sutton Photography.    Numerous beautiful, very professional looking, award winning photos were on display, and digitally projected.

Julie shared her tips on photographing children.  As a children’s portrait photographer, one needs to be prepared, be familiar with the stages of child development, have good luck, and must love children.

Add to that, a lot of energy, silliness, and flexibility, as you need to get down to the level of the child.

After listening to Julie’s presentation, question and answer session, and viewing her photographs, it’s easy to see why she’s been voted AV’s BEST Photographer 2001-2006, AV Fair 2006 Best of Show Photography Winner and AV Fair 2006 Best of Division Photography Winner.
