End of Year Competition - June 18, 2019
Our 2018-2019 competition year was very exciting! Many of our members participated and won ribbons. We had some wonderful images entered in our competitions, and I know it was difficult for our judges to choose. We have a great club with many amazing photographers!
Thank you to Dale Taft and Kathy Newman, who ran the competitions and scheduled the judges. Also, a big thank you to Paul Craft, who organized all the entries and ran the computer during the competitions, as well as his assistants, Rebecca Bieling and Manny Altamirano.
This year, our categories were:
- July: Open - Judge - Paul Speaker
- October: Close-Up - Judge Kevin Karzin
- January: Action - Judge Joanne Stolte
- March: Phone Camera - Judged by LPA Master Photographers
- May: Open - Matt Cohen
Our End-Of-Year competition will be held on June 18th at 6:00 at the Antelope Valley Senior Center. It is a culmination of the year’s competitions with our members voting on the first-place images for each of our Skill Levels: Novice, Amateur, Advanced Amateur and Master.
We also get to see all the prints that received Excellence Awards in the Intermediate and Accomplished levels and vote on the best of those as well.
We will also be swearing in our new board at this meeting.
Refreshments will be served.
It will be a great way to finish out our year, so please come and vote and enjoy spending time with each other.
