What fun!!! Yeah, a little windy… actually a LOT windy… the wind was a steady 20mph, gusting to 35mph, but we still had a great time!
On April 25 and 26, the LPA hosted a member's booth at the Annual California Poppy Festival in Lancaster.
This was our 5th year participating. It’s nice to be in the Fine Arts area, with all the other artists.
The LPA was well represented at the S4C Annual Awards Banquet, held at Almansor Court, in Alhambra. Twelve of us (including 1 guest) attended the banquet, and 15 LPA members received Honors Awards and/or Medals. The program was quite enjoyable, and the lunch, delicious.

For the third year in a row, the LPA had a booth at the Lancaster Poppy Festival. Tens of thousands of people visit this annual two day festival. Once again, we were delighted to have a booth in the Fine Arts section.
At least 15 different LPA members displayed the best of their work, which made for an eye catching exhibit. Other members sold smaller items, such as postcards, note cards, and small matted prints.
At the invitation of Dale Gilkinson, FPSA, Director of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Region 10, Lancaster Photography Association (LPA) members provided over forty pictures for display at the January 27th meeting of the PSA at the Public Library in Glendora, CA. Beautiful examples of their best work were set up prior to the meeting, then taken down at the conclusion of the day's programs by LPA volunteers.
On Saturday, 11 November the Lancaster Photography Association (LPA) / Antelope Valley Allied Arts Association (AVAAA) Fine Art Photography Exhibit Reception was held in the Cedar Centre Gallery.
