A Hawaiian/South Pacific theme was chosen for the annual pool party for the Lancaster Photography Association on Aug 5th.  This was the fifth year for this special social fun event.

The party was accented by the painting of a beach scene mural on the block wall surrounding the Hendrickson’s beautiful pool. The mural was designed by club member Janine Roy and the painting was done by her and members of the photo club.

I had the pleasure of participating at the LVAG/LPA Art Show in Lake Hughes. Numerous other LPA photographers entered works of art as well, and the presentation at quaint/artistic location was quite beautiful. Numerous pieces were presented, in a very artsy feeling gallery. Our photo exhibit shared the gallery with other extremely talented artists from the local area.

Once again, Kay and Clen Hendrickson put together another great party.  Over 30 people attended our annual event.

This year’s party theme was “Old Fashioned Swimsuits” and everyone was encouraged to dress the part.  Many of the attendees did just that.  There were quite a few unique costumes, some quite extravagant.  Some members brought in some old time cameras to add to the occasion.  It made for a great photo opportunity.

What a gorgeous weekend we had for the Poppy Festival, probably one of the best! The sunshine, warmth, and Poppies, all brought tens of thousands of people to the festival.

Our LPA booth was quite spacious, as it was double the size of last year. We were able to accommodate 42 eye catching photographs, which brought lots of people to our booth.
