Over 50 people attended our meeting, including 6 visitors.
The evening began with our general meeting, followed by the Installation of Officers for 08-09, by Dennis Goodno. Your new board members are Dave Anderson (President), Sue Craft (Vice President), Sharon Martinez (Secretary), and Nan Carder (Treasurer).
Over 58 members attended the meeting, and we had a record number of photo entries! This was an OPEN competition, the last competition of the 07-08 LPA year. Next month, all of the winning 1st place entries for the year will be competing for those year end trophies.

This evening's program was attended by 52 people, many of which entered the photo competition, where the theme was "Animals".

Jim Lendenthall and his wife Linda, from the Camera Club of Laguna Hills, presented a wonderful program on Yellowstone National Park.
Competition nights are always fun! Over 57 people were present, and there were many entries, all entering under the theme of Action/Motion. Entries consisted of 29 print, 10 slides, and 37 digital images. Our judge, Todd Neibling, from the Lancaster Museum & Art Gallery, gave a wonderful critique each and every entry.
It was a festive evening, with the red, white, & green holiday decorations, a Salon Show, the scent of turkey and stuffing in the air, the sweet sound of Christmas Carols coming from the piano, and a slide show of past field trips. Good times were had by all 45 members in attendance.
Paul Colter’s “Living in Borneo and Traveling Around the World on a Motorcycle”

Over 49 members/visitors were present for our November program "Living in Borneo and Traveling Around the World on a Motorcycle", presented by Paul Colter, from Ridgecrest, CA. Paul presently teaches anthropology and sociology as an adjunct professor at Cerro Coso Community College. He uses the movies that he created from slides for his classes at the college.
