Entering LPA Competitions Step by Step
- Know/Establish Your Level
- Sign Up/Log In to LPA Website
- Review Competition Class Definition
- Review Competition Rules
- Prepare Your Entries
- Enter Your Photographs
- Pay Your Entry Fee
Know/Establish Your Level
- Novice, Amateur, Advanced Amateur, or Master
- “A new member may select the level they wish to start in, or voluntarily move to a higher level, with the concurrence of the Competition Chairperson.”
- Default for New Members is Novice
- See Competition Chairperson if you wish to start at a Level Other than Novice
Sign Up/Log In to LPA Website
- www.lpaphotography.org
- Members Must “Sign Up” One Time to Establish User Name and Password
- Subsequently, Logging in Gives Access to Members Only Section
- Instructions for Signing Up and for Forgotten Passwords are at the End of Competition Rules Section
- Click on Image Upload Instructions (PDF)
Review Competition Class Definition
- Click on Competitions/Upcoming Competitions
- Understand the Details of the Competition Class
- This Avoids Disqualification Due to Your Photograph not complying
Review Competition Rules
- Click on Competitions/Rules
- Rules Explain the LPA Requirements for Prints and Digital Entries
Prepare Your Entries
- Follow the Rules for Prints or Digital Entries
- For Example, Prints must be mounted; Mats and Frames are not allowed
Enter Your Photographs
- Click on “Click Here to Submit” on Home Page • Or Click the Link in Rule #1 at Competitions/Rules
- Remember Entries Close at Midnight 7 Days before the Competition
- Digital Entries must be sized maximum 1400 high by 1280 wide pixels
- Step by Step Instructions are at Image Upload Instructions (PDF) at end of Rules Section Pay Your Entry Fee
- Pay via PayPal on Entry Form
- Or, Pay Cash at the Door (Before 6:00PM)
- Or, Pay via Check to LPA Photography Association
- Mail Check to LPA
- Ensure Arrival Prior to Competition
