What information will this site collect about me?
When you create an account on lpaphotography.org, you will need to provide a unique username and your email address. The email address is required to validate your account, support resetting your password if needed and to allow you to opt-in to content notifications such as new forum posts or comments.
Other profile information is collected for club members, such as address, city, state, and phone number. This information may be visible to other club members unless you uncheck the "List in Member-Only Directory" option under the "Privacy" tab in your account profile. This information will still be visible to club officers, site administrators, and certain committee members.
Social Site Login
If you utilize the Social Site login feature, allowing you to log into lpaphotoraphy.org using an existing social site login such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. We will also capture and store the following information:
- Twitter username and website URL
- Facebook UID and website URL
- Google UID and website URL
- Microsoft UID and website URL
- LinkedIn UID and website URL
- GitHub UID and website URL
All other account profile information like location, bio, signature, etc. are optional.
This site also collects page view statistics using the glFusion Usage Stats plugin. The following information is logged for each page view:
- Userid – if an authenticated user
- Browser User Agent (identifies the browser and version)
- IP Address
- Host name
- date and time
- page viewed
- Referring page (if linked from another site)
- Full URL of the page / action
Registered users can opt-out of having their usage tracked.
How We Use Your Information
User information is used to support the collaborative nature of this site. Your username and other optional profile information, such as, location, bio, signature are displayed with your Forum posts, comments and on your profile page.
Your email address is used to allow you to receive opt-in notifications of new forum posts, comments or other submissions where you have selected to be notified.
Usage tracking data is used to help identify BOTs and other nefarious actors who attempt to exploit common hacks and vulnerabilities.
We also use the usage tracking data to understand what pages are most popular and which ones are not popular to better improve our service.
Usage tracking data is kept on hand for 3 months.

The LPA does not share any information or provide any user information to any other sites or services. All personal information collected at this site is used strictly by the LPA and never provided to any other entity.

Google Analytics - We use Google Analytics to help us understand how the site is being used. Google Analytics reports this information without identifying individual users.

CloudFlare - The LPA utilizes CloudFlare to speed up and protect our website. CloudFlare will set a cookie when visiting lpaphotography.org. __cfduid cookie is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis. For example, if the visitor is in a coffee shop where there are a bunch of infected machines, but the specific visitor's machine is trusted (e.g. because they've completed a challenge within your Challenge Passage period), the cookie allows us to identify that client and not challenge them again. It does not correspond to any user ID in your web application and does not store any personally identifiable information.
AddToAny Social Sharing - The LPA utilizes AddToAny’s social sharing capabilities for stories. AddToAny will set a cookie to Updates the counter for the web site's social sharing features.

Right to be Forgotten
The way to be forgotten is simply to delete your lpaphotography.org account. All your submitted content, such as Forum posts, comments, uploads, etc. will be anonymized so there will be no way to link anything back to you directly.
All user profile information such as username, email address and any other optional data such as location, bio, etc. will be deleted from our database immediately when the account is deleted.
Your right to extract your personal data
You can download all personal data stored by this site from the My Account -> Privacy panel. An XML file of all personal data will be immediately available to you.
