Jim McDonald, 1924 - 1997
McDonald, James J., 73, of Lancaster, passed away Dec. 27, 1997 i Lancaster. Born May 22, 1924 in Los Angeles, James moved to the Antelope Valley in 1971. He was a retired aircraft tecnician of 46 years working with Lockheed and Norhrop. James was active in the Lancaster Photography Association and was the slide charman for the Antelope Valley Fair Photography Division.
Mr. McDonald was presently serving as secretary for the Red Rock Canyon State Park Interpretive Association, and attended the Antelope Valley Astronomy Club. He is survived by his wife, Esther; sone and daughter-in-law Walter and Marry; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Bob Richards; two grandsons Jayson and Matthew McDonald; and three granddaughters Kimberly, Heather and Michelle Richards. James will be remembered y his friends for always being willing to lend a helping hand. Memorial services will be at 1 pm Friday, Jan. 2 at Halley-Olsen Funeral Chapel, Lancaster.
