Holiday Dinner & Photo Contest
In keeping with LPA tradition, another Holiday Dinner has been planned, along with the 3rd Annual Holiday Photo Competition. Time to dress up in your festive holiday colors, share your holiday/winter photos, and spend an evening enjoying the company of your photo friends, and eat yummy food!
Menu:
- Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans,
- Salad, Rolls, Drinks & Dessert
The photo competition (digital only) is just for fun, with no entry fee, and will not count toward end of year competition. Text and other creative effects are encouraged but not required. There will be Awards and HM’s (Santa Hats and Candy Canes) presented for Novice/Amateur and Adv Amateur/ Master. There are three categories (1) people/ or pets, (2) lights and (3) scenic. LPA members may submit up to 5 photos no later than Dec 13. All winners are eligible to re-enter photos in future LPA competitions.
Our goal of $250 in donations for the event was quickly met and exceeded! Dinner will be covered by your generous donations (suggested $5 donation). Tylene Trout, our dinner organizer, needs help prepping before and serving the dinner. If you can help, please contact her at mtrout1@aol.com , or 722-3987.
Another fun part of the evening is offering an opportunity to win donated, new or near new items. If the item is pre-owned, it should be in near new condition. Anyone can donate an item, photo related or not. Tickets will be available for purchase ($1 each or $5 for 6 tickets) and all proceeds will be donated to the non profit organization Friends of the (Senior Center). We need a ticket seller that evening. Donors can contact Pat Ware (pdaleware@aol.com or 723-7041) to let her know what they'll be donating and bring it on the night of the raffle. Table center pieces are needed and can be offered as prizes too.
Your assistance is needed in getting the room ready for this festive event. The doors will be open at 5pm, and we’re looking for help in setting up, and decorating tables. It’s easy and fun… just show up.
