PSA Projected Image Open Interclub Competition (Third Round): Congratulations go to Tina Crowe (Winged Emerald) for winning an Honorable Mention in the PSA Projected Image Division Group B competition. Lancaster Photography Association had 58 points in the third round.
PSA Projected Image Division Creative Interclub competition (Second Round): There were no Awards or Honorable Mentions.
PSA Projected Image Division Creative Interclub Competition (Third Round): The LPA entries for the third round of the PSA Projected Image Division are the following: Bonnie Matthews (Mr. Clown), Sharna Lee (Melting Flower), Ron Yagi (New York, NY, Vegas Nite), Pat Ware (Darwin Post Office), Pam Vick (Hall of Time), Helen Henry (Three Puzzled Masks), and Nan Carder (Silverback 3969).
PSA Nature Interclub Competition (3rd/Last Round): The LPA entries for the third and last round of the PSA Nature Interclub Division are the following: Arliss Dawson (Juvenile Night Heron Pair), Marv Brimer (Long Billed Curlew with Lunch), Tina Crowe (Injured Anna’s Hummingbird), Dale Ware (Egret Catching Fish), Don Bennett (Give Me that Fish), and Holly Peskin (Blue Heron with Rat).
PSA Youth Photography Showcase: Many of the local high schools have been contacted for the PSA Youth Photography Showcase. This year, Tina Crowe has been assisting with and contacting the high school instructors. This year she has contacted and included Desert Christian High School. Hopefully, the Lancaster Photography Association will have as nice of a selection of images to send for judging as they did last year. Winning and accepted images/prints will be on display at the PSA Annual Conference in Portland, Maine in September.
33rd George W. Glennie Memorial Nature Salon: The George W. Glennie Memorial Nature Salon results have just been announced. The Lancaster Photography Association (LPA) had an open nature contest. Ten images were selected by the LPA participants to represent our club. Those ten images were then submitted to the George W. Glennie Memorial Nature competition.
Sue Craft for won first place in Mountain Scapes with her image “El Capitan Sunset, Yosemite”. Getting acceptances were the following: Don Bennett and “Give Me That Fish” and Holly Peskin with “Blue Heron with a Rat”. There were 139 clubs from around the world that participated. Our club was tied for 41st. Each club could enter 10 images. One third of the entries received an acceptance based on scores.
