Workshop: PSA/S4C, October 22 2013
The Lancaster Photography Association’s October workshop will provide information on both the Southern California Council of Camera Clubs (Bonnie Matthews, AS4C) and the Photographic Society of America (Nan Carder, DFS4C, EPSA). Join us at the AV Senior Center at 6:00pm on October 22.
The Southern California Council of Camera Clubs (S4C) is a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA). The Council consists of a number of photography clubs. The Council’s primary objective is to conduct photography competitions among member clubs and among individual members of those clubs. The Council has chosen to follow PSA guidelines in the conduct of these competitions.
Any member of an S4C club entering an S4C competition must have a Uniform Entry Number (UEN). The UEN is used to identify the entrant in all competitions. Once assigned, it may be used for so long as the entrant is a current member of an S4C club.
All S4C competitions consist of digital entries only. S4C conducts competitions within four Divisions: Pictorial, Nature, Photo Travel, and Photojournalism. Except for the Interclub Color Section of the Pictorial Division, all Section Competitions are entered by individuals.
The Photographic Society of America is a worldwide organization providing a wide range of services to promote photography and benefits to its members. PSA has about 6,000 members that are from all over the world. It is an international organization. It is for both amateur and professional photographers and is mainly a volunteer organization. Come learn what is available for all PSA members. This workshop will include the following free services to all PSA members:
