PSA Annual Conference, Albuquerque, New Mexico: The Photographic Society of America’s Annual Conference for 2014 will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The conference dates are September 27 to October 3, 2014. Room rates for the conference hotel (Albuquerque Marriott on Louisiana Blvd.) will be $99/night.
Room rates before and after these dates will be at the regular hotel rate.

Some of the tours for the PSA Conference will be the following:
- Treasures and Traditions Tour: A tour of Acoma Pueblo, Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
- O’Keefe Landscaper Tour: A Landscape tour sunset photography
- Las Golondrinas and Santa Fe Tour: A tour of Santa Fe and visiting an early Spanish colonial village
- This is Albuquerque: Old Town Albuquerque, the Balloon Museum, a hacienda-style school, and modern Albuquerque
- Sunset in the Sandias: A ride on the Sandia Tram to the Sandia Crest
- Hike at Tent Rocks: A tour to a fascinating geologic area
- Northern New Mexico Tour: A tour of north Santa Fe, Village of Chimayo, El Santuario de Chimayo, and Puye Cliffs

PSA Website Contest: Entries will be open for the PSA Website Contest on January 15, 2014.
PSA Newsletter Contest: Entries will be open for the PSA Newsletter Contest on March 1, 2014.
PSA Projected Image Division Interclub (Third Round): The entries for the third Projected Image Division Interclub competition were the following: “Anna’s Hummingbird” (Sue Craft), “Briana in Black” (Bonnie Matthews), “Bubble Boy” (Rock Myers), “Pismo Beach Pier” (Dale Ware), “Teton Sunrise” (Bill Sutton), “Yosemite Valley View Storm Clearing” David Wilkins.
PSA Nature Interclub (Second Round): There were no Awards or HMs. The third and last Nature Division Interclub competition is due April 15, 2014.
PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub (Second Round): Bill Liberto received an Honorable Mention in Photojournalism Human Interest in Group A with “Portrait in Central Park”. The Lancaster Photography Association tied for second place with 69 points. The third round Photojournalism Division Interclub competition was submitted. The following LPA members and their images were the following: “Color Me Rad 1095” (David Wilkins), “Om” (Tina Crowe), “Pie Eater” (Eugene Duley), “Motorcycle 5978” (Sharna Lee), “Tejay Time Trial 2013” (Christine Wilkins), and “UGH” (Arliss Dawson). The final PJ Interclub competition deadline will be May 15, 2014.
PSA Travel Division Interclub (Second Round): The entries for the second round of Travel Open Interclub were the following: “Capturing Notre Dame” (Tina Crowe), “Eiffel Tower” Scott Shackelford, “Embera Indian Musicians-Panama” (Dale Ware), “Parliament Building in Victoria” (Chris Wilkins), “Rice Field Worker” (Nan Carder), and “Yosemite Valley View Storm Clearing” (David Wilkins). The final Travel Open Division interclub competition deadline will be May 15, 2014.
PSA Projected Image Division (PID) Creative Interclub (Second Round): Results are pending. The third round of the PID Creative Interclub competition is due April 1, 2014.
PSA Individual Portrait Competition: The PSA Projected Image Division Individual Competition closing dates will be on March 15, April 22, and June 15, 2014. This is for PSA members only. PSA Individual Creative Competition (1st Round): The PSA Projected Image Division Individual Creative Competition is back. PSA members may compete. PSA Photojournalism Division: Tina Crowe is on the slate for the Secretary position for the PSA Photojournalism Division.
PSA Photojournalism Quarterly Individual Competition: Congratulations Tina Crowe for placing first in Round 4 of the Photojournalism Open Quarterly competition with her image Street Performer at “Sacre Coeur”. Coachella Valley International Exhibition: The judging was done remotely, with the medal round being judged on March 1, 2014 at the California Baptist University. Those participating this year are the following: Nan Carder, EPSA, Bonnie Matthews, Fran Marroquin, Bill Sutton, Dale Ware, Pat Ware, and David Wilkins.
Information on those who gave results: Nan Carder, Dale Ware, Pat Ware and David Wilkins all had acceptances. David Wilkins had an HM in PID Open.
PSA Southern California Chapter’s annual full-day event of photography programs and workshops for PSA members: This will be a free event for all PSA members in the Lancaster Photography Association. The program will be held at the Cal Baptist University, Riverside, CA on April 26th.
On Friday April 25th and 26th there will be a photo walk-about around the historic Mission Inn, led by Jan Maguire FPSA, MPSA. The Friday walk-about is filled.
Speakers will be George Lepp who will present “Extreme Capture Techniques in Nature Photography” and is sponsored by Canon Explorers of Light. Robert O’Toole will present “A Passion for Wildlife Photography” and is sponsored by Sigma.
