Prime Desert Woodland Preserve Cleanup Day, Jan 31 2015

As a follow up to the Martin Luther King Day of Volunteer Service, Carol Moss arranged for LPA members and friends to do further cleanup at the Preserve on Saturday, January 31, 9:00am to 1:00pm. With their buckets, gloves, and trowels, Ron Yagi, Theresa Tighe, Sue Liberto, Marilyn Shackelford, Scott Shackelford, Carol Moss, and Sue Craft were ready to help.
Ranger Lewis guided us to some of the more concentrated spots in need of beautification.
We removed buckets full of glass, metal, and plastics, some of which had been there since before the preserve opened. Ranger Lewis expressed his deep appreciation to all of the volunteers. He offered to accompany small groups of photographers (5) for private, off-trail photo shoots, even before or after hours (with prior arrangement). Contact your field trip chairperson, Chris Wilkins, if you would like help in setting up an LPA field trip.
Thank you Carol Moss for arranging the event, and bringing the donuts.
