The Feb 2015 S4C Competition was held remotely on Feb 14th.  I’d like to congratulate the following images:  Level A- Doug Wade "Eyes N Feathers"- HM and Level AA: Eugene Duley "Butterfly Girl"- Award.

Entries for the March Competition closed on March7th. I’d like to thank those who submitted their images to me to be used for Interclub competition. Level A: Ron Yagi, Rock Myers, Darren Cole, and Shirley Airov Bieling. Level AA: Diane Edgel, Dwight Franke, Lyle Trusty and Sue Liberto. Good Luck to everyone!
April S4C Competition will open Mar 14th, close on April 4th and be judged in Riverside on April 11th. This is our last competition for the 2014-2015 competition year.

S4C competitions are held monthly between October of one year and April of the following year. They are either judged in person along with an S4C meeting (normally in November and April) or remotely (normally the other months). Be sure to mark your calendars!

Also, you can now start signing up for the fabulous S4C Annual Awards and Installation Banquet on June 6th at Almansor Court, 700 South Almansor Street, Alhambra, CA 91801. Go to http://www.s4c-photo.org/banquet/ to get your tickets.

For S4C Interclub and to participate as an Individual, you MUST have a UEN to enter. If you do not have one, please go to the S4C website and request yours today (just takes about 5 min)! Bonnie has been taking pictures since she was a little girl, but she didn't get into digital photography until about 2009, just before she joined the club.

Matthews-Franke finds the club to be very beneficial to her. The interaction with other members, being able to ask questions, the workshops and the knowledge that I take away from the club is phenomenal.

She believes the meetings, workshops and field trips are very beneficial, specially to the new members. Her favorites were the Fall Color Trips; Mono Lake Trips and the workshops were she had her camera and could play along.

She love landscapes. She just finished a vacation trip to Oregon where she photographed lighthouses, old barns and covered bridges. The older the structure the better Smile.
She also loves portraits, and shooting in her own studio.

Matthews-Franke has more than a few Canon's, a Canon 7D, a Canon 5D MKII and a few more with a variety of lenses and accessories. Her favorite lens is a 28-135mm ,70-200mm. & 100mm.

Matthews-Franke was our secretary of the club for a few years and helped made many changes to help us grow.
