October Competition – 10/17/17

[image1_left]October 17 is LPA’s Abstract and Night Images Competition. Please upload your entries by October 10 at 11:59P.M.

Remember that Night images is more than just stars. City lights, fireworks etc also fit in the category.

Our Judge for the night is Robert Fields. He was one of the judges from the AV fair this year.

Please join us as we welcome Robert for a no-host dinner at 4:30PM at the Greenhouse Café, in Lancaster, before the Competition and General meeting.

Robert Fields is a professional photographer who has traveled extensively all over the world. This includes Europe, the Middle East, Australia/New Zealand, the tropics, etc. He's visited over 40 countries in the past 12 years.

Robert got started in Photography in 1979, and during the 1980’s he taught photography for an extension of Santa Monica college (seven years) working with over 3500 students during that period and teaching from basic to advanced level skills.

He taught photographic travel workshops in California from the mid 1980’s through the early 2000’s going to beautiful scenic locations including Yosemite, Death Valley, Morro Bay, Mono Lake, San Francisco, Point Reyes, etc. Students traveled from all over the country to attend these workshops.

He has received many awards over the years from various art shows and competitions. He currently sells fine art limited edition photography. He also provides professional and consulting services to photographers, organizations, and businesses and is very skilled at printing in addition to taking extraordinary images.
