TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026 - ELIZABETH PREGER - ARTIST LECTURE

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Lancaster Photography Association will host an artist lecture by Elizabeth Preger as our workshop. The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Antelope Valley Senior Center.

She will share with our club various photography projects she has worked on and discuss them with us. Her incorporation of various other mediums with photography to create an immersive experience will give us new ideas of how photography can be used.  

BIO: Elizabeth Preger creates large-scale immersive environments that utilize photography, video, sculpture and sound. Recorded interviews and oral history are integral to her practice as a way of proposing an act of collective listening while asking, "Who is talking to whom?" and "Who is Listening?". Her work activates narratives around nature and peole, where the subjects of her own cultural history, and the documenting and developing of relationships, are always framed in resilience. She

earned a B.A. in Art from UCLA in 2010, and an M.F.A. in Photography and Media from CalArts in 2018. Her work has been the subject of solo shows at Kathmandu Photo Gallery, Bangkok and Artery Post-Modern Gallery, Bangkok, and included in group exhibitions in the U.S., curated by Anne Ellegood, Daniella Lieja Quintanar, and Mark Allen. She has had work published in the LA Times and LA Weekly, and has been features in Photo L.A. and by the Main Museum.
