LPA WORKSHOP - YOU BE THE JUDGE - OCTOBER 27, 2026

On October 27, 2026, Lancaster Photography Association will be learning how to critique our own images by having a "You Be The Judge" night. We will meet at the Antelope Valley Senior Center at 6:00 p.m.

We need you to send in up to 5 images for critique. These can be photos you have entered at the fair or other competitions, or just photos you would like input about.

We will have a short presentation about judging criteria. Then we will go through the images you have sent in and ask for critiques from the members of the audience about each image. We will look for both positive critique and what could be improved for each image.

Learning what to look for in a competition image is very helpful in helping you progress as a photographer and entering competitions, such as LPA, S4C, PSA, PPA, or PPC. These skills also help you when you are out taking photographs and thinking about what you want your final photo to look like, adjusting your location, lighting, settings accordingly.

We will also have our normal Photosharing at the beginning of the workshop. Send up to 10 photos to Kathy by 10/26/2026.
