All Pass, 2001

On Wednesday, March 14, at 11:15 AM, Al Pass slipped quietly away in his sleep, in his room at Antelope Valley Hospital.  His wife Charlene was there with him, as she had been in the days and months leading up to this time and place.  Al's family and many friends knew by that time what Al was facing and would have been there with Charlene if there could have been a way.  Many of us went to the funeral services and interment at Mount Sinai in Hollywood Hills on Friday, and grieved with teh family in what was a most poignant farewell to a man who had honored his Family, his Church, his Community and his Friends with selfless devotion, asking nothing more than to be of service to us all.  We will always remember him as our friend, our teacher, and a leader, who worked for us tirelessly until he could work no more.
