General Meeting, November 15, 2005

We had 36 people present for this months meeting, which included 5 visitors… all 5 of which joined the LPA!

Welcome to new members Errol Eaton, Suzie Vogt, Todd Shultz, Tony Gould, and John Dougherty.  Tony Gould was the lucky winner of the 50/50 drawing of $41.50, and kindly donated it all back to the club.  Thank you Tony!

Our program this month consisted of a video presentation, shared by Fred Frederickson, from the Luminous Landscape Video Journals.  We took an armchair tour to the top of the Grand Canyon, river-rafted down the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and ended our evening in Iceland.

Next month, is our annual LPA Holiday Celebration.  A fun evening is being planned for you, with a potluck dinner, and slide/video presentation by LPA member Vince Capasso.

There will be lots of food, fun, games, music, and plenty of time for good ol’ socializing.

Go to the LPA calendar, click on the Holiday Party for Dec 20, and see what you can bring to the fun event.

Our next BIG event is the LPA Juried Photography Exhibit at the Cedar Center in Lancaster, with the opening reception on December 10.

This is a juried art show, open to all LPA members.

Now that we have our “new” LPA logo, you may want to visit the T-Shirt place at the mall, and get your very own shirt.  Either purchase one there, or bring your own.  The LPA gets a discount for quantities of 10, so you might want to contact John Shedrick (256-062) to get in on the savings.

Hope to see most all of you on Tuesday, November 22, for a Basic Photography Workshop presented by LPA Member Don Bennet.  Don’t forget to bring your camera, your manual, and even a friend!
