General Meeting, July 18, 2006
Our new board took over this month, and the meeting was led by Dennis Goodno, our new President. The highlight of the evening was a video presentation from the Luminous Landscape collection… the Ship Breaking Yards of Bangladesh. Valuable information was presented on composition, cropping, lighting, and contrasting humans/objects with enormous subjects.
Our new Vice President, Dave Anderson, shared with us some of the exciting programs he has planned for the next year, such as… a visit from Professional Photographer Marshall LaPlante, Professional Photographer Julie Sutton (how to photograph children), and Professional Photographer Jim Cooluris, author of the Wide Angle Photography article in April 06 Outdoor Photography magazine.
Our former President , John Shedrick, now has more time on his hands, and has some exciting ideas for upcoming workshops. His ideas include… macro, night, action, portrait, and panorama workshops. If any of these greatly appeal to you, or you have knowledge to share, please contact John.
Thirty nine people were present, including two guests, who decided to join our club. Welcome Ray Coronado and Mike Doyon! Yummy refreshments were provided by the Ware’s, and the 50/50 drawing was won by Gary Robinson.
