June 2007 Year-End Meeting

Year-End Competition and Installation of Officers.

Over 50 people and 5 visitors were present tonight for the Year End Competition!  The first place winners from our 4 competitions over the past year, all competed for the year end trophies.  Numerous beautiful photos aligned the stage, and it was so great to see so many photos from some of our newest members.

Our judge for the evening was a local artist, Valerie Freeman.  Val is a fine art graduate of the Pratt Institute in New York and currently working at Antelope Valley College as the Exhibition Manager.  In addition to numerous art projects, Val also offers photographic printing services on an Epson 9600 and can print up to 44” wide and 40’ long prints with archival ink, on specialty papers, such as canvas.  Scanning and artists proofs are also available.  Check out her website at FreemanArt.com or email her at val@freemanart.com.

Your Officers for 2007-2008, (same as last year… that’s a good sign!) were sworn in by past President John Shedrick.  We all work well together, and thank everyone for their support, and look forward to working for/with both new/old LPA members during the next year.
