August Swap Meet & Willow Springs Report
Swap meets are always fun and a great way to get rid of thing and purchase things you are in need of! Over 68 members and 7 guest participated in the swap meet and to watch Glenn Olson and Lyle Trusty Willow Springs Raceway Slide-show program for the evening.

Sue Craft kicked the evening off with the swat meet. Approximately a dozen members brought various camera equipment ranging from twenty-five cents on up. Some sellers sold most of the things they brought while others can try again next time. All seem to have a great time socializing with others.
Glenn Olson and Lyle Trusty gave the program for the evening. Glenn led a field trip to Willow Spring Raceway with Lyle as his co-leader back in May. They had great member turn out and tonight they showed the general membership the various action shots which were taken that day. While each picture was shown, Lyle gave a critique on each picture so all members could benefit from the experience. Glenn accepted a Certificate of Appreciation for the Raceway which he will take to them the following day. We all appreciate them allowing us to go to the raceway and shoot the races.
Tylene Trout introduced the guest and new members. Thank you for joining us.
Our refreshments for the evening were provided by Sharon Martinez. Please consider taking a turn in providing snacks for the evening. Reimbursement from the LPA for up to $30 for snacks.
Joanne Miles was the winner of the 50/50 drawing.
Helen Henry announced the next competition will be “Depth of Field.” We will have a workshop to help prepare us for the competition in September.
Helen went over the ways in which she helps us and represent us. [Secretary’s note: I encourage all members to review the “Committees/Chiarperson/Responsibilities” to actually see everything Helen does for you. All you need to do is turn in your pictures, have your UEN, and ask for help if you don’t understand. She will help you.]
