PSA Annual Conference, West Yellowstone: The PSA Annual Conference will be held in West Yellowstone, Montana from September 27 to October 3, 2015. It is time to start thinking about whether to attend the conference. There will be three hotels available in West Yellowstone. The Holiday Inn West is the conference hotel with conference room rates of $109 and up. The Gray Wolf Hotel is several blocks from the Holiday Inn with rates of $89 for Queen/King beds. The Yellowstone Park Hotel has room rates of $99 for Queen/King beds.
This conference will be different in that there will be 30 half or full day tours offered during the conference. Some of the speakers will include Art Wolfe, Mike Moates, and Roman Kurywczak.
PSA Projected Image Division (First Round): Results are pending.
Projected Image Division Creative (First Round): Entries for the first round of the PSA Projected Image Division Creative first round are the following: “Mardi Gras Float” (Marilyn Shackelford), “Paisley Self Portrait” (Kathy Newman), “Peggy’s Cove House” (Dale Ware), “Pink Flower 4461” (Nan Carder), “Soldiers Forgotten” (Bonnie Matthews), and “Tikis and Beer” (Rock Myers).
PSA Nature Division Interclub (First Round): The second round of the PSA Nature Division Interclub is due by January 15, 2015.
PSA Photojournalism Interclub (First Round): Entries for the first round of the PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub are the following: “AAU Meet AVHS” (Tom Van Langenhoven), “Blue Angels in Formation” (Bruce Cable), “Little Guy Big Imagination” (Scott Shackelford), “Mark Cavendish Sprint” (David Wilkins), “Pumpkin Fairy” (Sue Liberto), and “T-Ball Yawning” (Rock Myers). Results are pending.
PSA Travel Interclub (First Round): Entries for the first round of the PSA Photo Travel Division Interclub Group B are the following: “Back of the Wave” (Chris Wilkins), “Fairport Harbor Lighthouse” (Ramon Rosario), “Halgrimskirkja Church Reykjavik” (David Wilkins), “Puddle Kids Two” (Richard Wood), “Two Trees Grand Canyon 2” (Leslie Sutton), and “Yosemite Falls” (Rock Myers).

PSA Photojournalism and Travel Interclub Judging: The Lancaster Photography Association (LPA) was been invited to judge the first round of the PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub competition. The competition was held at Chris and David Wilkin’s home on December 8, 2014. Judges were the following: Tina Crowe, AS4C, Sue Liberto, and David Wilkins, AS4C. Assisting with the competition was Bill Sutton, AS4C. Coordinating the event was Chris Wilkins and Nan Carder, DFS4C, EPSA.
LPA has also been invited to judge the third PSA Photo Travel Division Interclub competition next May.
PSA MAC Competition: David Wilkins received an HM for him image “Fishing at Dawn” in Digital Color Open. Nan Carder received two medals for WuZhen Evening (3rd place) and Blue Angels 6583 (Judge’s Choice) in Digital Monochrome Open.
Southern California Roundup Chapter Event: On February 21, 2015, the PSA Southern California Chapter will have a photo event held at Descanso Gardens. Registration will open December 2014, More information to come. http://www.psa-socal.org/2015-photo-event.html
