PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA (PSA) REPORT FOR DECEMBER 2016

PSA Annual Conference, Pittsburg, PA: The 2017 conference will be held at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center on October 8th - October 14th, 2017. Registration will begin April 17, 2017.
PSA Nature Division Interclub Competition (Round 1): Entries due January 1, 2017.
PSA Projected Image Division Interclub Competition (Round 1): There were no Awards or HMs.
PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub (Round 1): Entries for the PSA Photojournalism Division Interclub competition were the following: Big Hit (Darren Cole), Boots High (Dwight Franke), Face Splat (Bruce Cable), Four Young Monks (Richard Wood), Homeless Lady City Hall (Douglas Wade), and Its for Me (Tom Van Langenhoven).
PSA Photo Travel Division Interclub Competition Results (Round 1): The Lancaster Photography Association was in fourth place of 20 club entries after the first round. Christine Wilkins received an Honorable Mention for her image Clearing at Valley View. There were 112 images entered.
Shirl Airov-Bieling, Helen Henry, and Nan Carder judged the PSA Photo Travel Interclub Group A (126 images) Round 1 images. Shirl and Helen enjoyed the judging.
PSA Membership Milestone: Sue Craft has reached her ten-year PSA Membership Milestone. She will be presented her certificate at one of the LPA meetings. Congratulations Sue!
A PSA Thank-You to Chris Wilkins: PSA received a donation from PSA member H.W. Ping Chan marked in the honor of Christine Wilkins and Kathi Beam from PSA Headquarters for their hard work with the Membership Milestone Program.
PSA International Exhibitions:
The Coachella Valley Desert Camera Club (CVDCC) International Exhibition is now open for entries and will be open until March 10, 2017.
The following Divisions and Sections are the following:
PID Color – General and Theme (Scapes)
PID Monochrome – General and Theme (Powered Transportation)
Nature – General and Wildlife
Entries are submitted through their Online Entry System.

Grand Canyon Circuit: Congratulations Scott Shackelford, who had multiple acceptances in the Grand Canyon Circuit and received his first medal (Bronze) for 20-Mule Team Silhouette-M. Also receiving acceptances were Shirl Airov-Bieling and Nan Carder.
