All About Aircraft with Rich Cooper - March 22, 2018

Coming up Thursday March 22nd, just in time for the LA County Air Show, we will have a great guest speaker, Rich Cooper. Rich will be giving a presentation on his recent work and how he got into this field of photography. He will discuss in depth taking the shots of airplanes and also let us have Q&A.

Rich is a full-time professional photographer and journalist, and has been behind a camera for around 30 years. He has been commissioned for shoots all over the globe, with a 20-year pro career in publishing, editorial, design and journalism. Commercially, he provides stunning bespoke coverage of anything from a war zone to product delivery, specializing in 'available light' and 'reportage' photography. He is a coveted aviation and commercial photographer and is known throughout the world for his aviation images and reporting.
[image2_left]Among the awards Rich has won for his work, he was the 2012 Finalist in the Professional Photographer of the Year, and went on to win the coveted title of “Action & Extreme Professional Photographer of the Year” in 2014.
As the head of operations at The Centre of Aviation Photography (www.centreofaviationphotography.com) and COAP Media (www.coapmedia.com). He is a Special Correspondent for Combat Aircraft, the world’s largest aviation magazine and undertakes UK and world-wide submissions for Air Forces Monthly, Flug Revue, J-Wings, AERO, Skymag, Air & Space, Alpha Check and The War Zone amongst others. His work is found in all forms of online and published books, magazines and one-off publications, and has been a member of the Royal International Air Tattoo Photographic Team for over 20 years.
