Wildflowers/Desert Scenes Competition – May 19, 2020

On May 19, 2020, LPA is excited to hold our Wildflowers/Desert Scenes competition with Hutch Hutchison judging our images. Due to the current distancing guidelines, we will not be meeting in person, but we will enter our images on the LPA website as usual and they will be sent to Hutch for judging. This time we will have a way you can look at the images online along with Hutch’s comments.

The link will be sent out via email as soon as the judging results are available. The deadline for this competition is Friday, May 15 th at 11:59 p.m. Please enter your three images in the digital section, since we will not be able to accommodate prints for this competition.

The definition of the Wildflowers Class is: Close-ups and landscapes dominated by desert wildflowers.

The definition of the Desert Scenes Class is: Scenes depicting the environment, plants, animals and birds
of the southwestern deserts.

All members are welcome and are encouraged to participate in our competitions, as this is a way to gauge how you are progressing in your photography by having a neutral judge look at your images and give constructive feedback. Our judge this time, Hutch Hutchison, is an accomplished, award-winning photographer and his feedback will be very helpful! He has judged and presented programs for various clubs around Southern California for many years. We had a wonderful wildflower season this year, and you all should be able to enter some great photos!

We are looking forward to seeing all your wonderful entries!
