Photographing Dogs with Suzanne Leroy - September 26 2023
The presentation will cover different types of dog photography, how to effectively shoot your own dog, current trends in photographing dogs, where to find subjects and get practice, making money shooting dogs, getting the best shot, and postproduction tips.
Suzanne LeRoy started her photographic journey in 2019 because of the super bloom. She had friends bring their dogs so she could take photos of them in the poppies. A professional photographer friend joined them. She looked at the photos the photographer took, and she looked at her own and decided to take lessons. She signed up for multiple online classes and traveled to workshops and learned. She even joined a photography club!
She is still taking photos of her friend’s dogs but has a better understanding of her camera, composition and how to make the most of the photo in post-processing. She also photographs herding trials, lure coursing, conformation shows and other dog sports.
