PHOTOJOURNALISM WORKSHOP - TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2024

 Lancaster Photography Association presents Photojournalism with Andrew Lewis, LPA Vice President, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lancaster Senior Center, 777 W Jackman St, Lancaster, CA. 

Join us for an informative workshopAndrew will present techniques for capturing story telling images. We will discuss tactics and procedures used in the field, what to do with the images, and considerations for preparing for image competition/exhibitions.

 Andrew’s Bio: Andrew Lewis CPP, Hon. CPE, AS4C. Vice President, Lancaster Photography Association. Photojournalistic Photographer of the Year, 2022-Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County.  Member: Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of California, Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County, Santa Clarita Valley Photographers Association, Lancaster Photography Association.

Andrew began photography in junior high school. He worked on yearbook staff in junior high and high school. His first job was with a national retail portrait studio. After over 20 years in the telecommunications industry, Andrew returned to school and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, CA. He enjoys travelling to further his photographic skills, experience new photographic opportunities, and meet new people. Volunteering at photographic events for organizations from regional to national levels keeps him traveling. Andrew works at annual conferences for Professional Photographers of America, the Photographic Society of America, and the Southern California Council of Camera Clubs. Andrew earned the Certified Professional Photographer title from the Professional Photographers of America in 2023 and will soon earn his Master of Photography degree from PPA. He is working at building a business as a professional photographer.
