On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Lancaster Photography Association is excited to have Court Whelan, host of The Wildlife Photographer podcast, speak to us about his time-honored techniques for capturing extraordinary wildlife photos. Court Whelan's approach is one that begins with traditional rules surrounding things like exposure, composition, color, and storytelling, while quickly moving to "breaking the rules" in order to yield creative wildlife photos that set your imagery apart. Expect to learn new ways to harness depth of field, variations in shutter speed to showcase wildlife in dramatic ways, how to take macro photographs without a macro lens, and much, much more.
