This Is Your Chance to Show Off 3 of your Best AV Fair images. Since they will be already printed, why not enter the prints?

Color or B&W images both are allowed. Theme is “Open” which means anything from Abstract to Vehicles plus a few more you could think of. Must be in good taste!

Note:By virtue of submitting this entry, the entrant certifies that the work is his/her own and permits us to reproduce all or part of the entered images free of charge for publication and/ or display in media related to the LPA, S4C and PSA Competitions.

Creative is defined as altered reality that is apparent to the viewer. This definition includes alterations utilizing: colored lights and gels, black light, Mylar, sandwiches, projected images, double exposures, zoomed images, lithograph, birefringence, and computer manipulation. The image should have strong composition, pleasing quality, and color, texture, pattern, and/or tone impact. The appropriateness of the technique selected and pictorial merit is considered in judging. Small amounts of manipulating images (changing opacity, using filters, adding text, fantasy or textured backgrounds, etc) is NOT considered Creative. The content is unrestricted. [Rev 01/2015]

Historic sites, buildings, antiques and relics of the past. This can include images of people in period costume. [Rev 01/2015]

Single or multiple blossoms of one or more plants, NOT to exclude Desert Wildflowers. [Rev 01/2015]

This competition will not be judged, instead our membership will also vote on their favorites. It is not necessary to resubmit your qualifying digital entries but prints must be brought to the competition. If you are not going to be able to make it please contact your competition chair to get your prints delivered to the competition.

The Nature, Photo Travel, and Photojournalism Classes are all termed ‘Reality-Based Divisions’ because images entered are required to represent what the photographer actually saw. In addition to the definitions applicable to each of these Divisions, the following special rules apply: Borders are allowed with any Reality-Based Division entry/image, but must not exceed 3 pixels in width and must be white or a shade of grey. No techniques that add, relocate, replace, or remove pictorial elements except by cropping are permitted. Techniques that enhance the presentation of the photograph without changing the nature story or the pictorial content, or without altering the content of the original scene, are permitted including HDR, focus stacking and dodging/burning. Techniques that remove elements added by the camera, such as dust spots, digital noise, and film scratches, are allowed. Stitched images are not permitted. All allowed adjustments must appear natural. Color images can be converted to grey-scale monochrome. Infrared images, either direct-captures or derivations, are not allowed. [Rev 01/2015]
