On Thursday, June 12, LPA will have a field trip to the San Fernando Mission, 155151 Mission Hills Blvd in Mission Hills. At 7:30 am there will be an optional breakfast meeting at Lucky Roxy (the old Denny’s at 405 West Palmdale Blvd.) in Palmdale west of Highway 14. Following breakfast we will proceed to the Mission, pay our admission fee of $5.00/person and meet punctually at 10am right inside the inner courtyard for a group photo. The Mission is open from 9am until 4:30pm. There are courtyard buildings, reconstructed Mission building, as well as gardens and fountains. There will be opportunities for flower macros, landscapes and HDR images within the church. Bring a tripod. Nan Carder and Sue Craft will be available from 10am to 12am to answer questions about composition and camera settings.
