Have you ever thought about submitting some of your best images to S4C for their monthly competitions but are not sure how it works, or how the judging is done? Well now is the time to see first hand what goes on at S4C during their monthly competition judging so that you can prepare yourself for your next step up in the world of photography.
Please sign up below if you'd like to attend this trip.
Please join us on Saturday, January 8th for a field trip to S4C’s January Competition held in the Yeager Center, 2nd Floor, Room B251 at California Baptist University, 8432 Magnolia Ave, in Riverside, CA 92504. (For driving directions to California Baptist University, go to:
www.mapquest.com/maps?address=8432+Magnolia+Avenue&zipcode=92504, and for a map of the California Baptist University Campus go to: www.calbaptist.edu/campustour/). The doors open for this competition at 8:00 A.M. and judging begins at 9:00 A.M. and usually goes to around noon when there will be a break for lunch at the on-campus cafeteria (where they have a huge buffet comparable to what you would find in Las Vegas including pasta, sea food, Chinese and Mexican entries, salads, sandwiches, burgers, desserts and drinks all for one very reasonable price). After lunch, the judging continues until all images have been reviewed which usually ends around 3:00 P.M.
For this event, we will meet in Room B251 in the Yeager Center around 8:30 A.M. for a group photo. The driving time to California Baptist University from the Antelope Valley is usually around an hour and a half. Because of the distance, it is suggested that you carpool with a friend if possible. We look forward to seeing you there.
For those who would like to carpool, please meet at the Park & Ride, on Ave S, just a bit WEST of the AV freeway. It’s on the South side of Ave S, between the AV Freeway and Tierra Subida Road (traffic light). It is the smaller of the two Park-n-Ride lots along Ave S and will be easier for us to meet up. Meet at 645am, and we’ll leave shortly thereafter.
You'll need to be an LPA member and log in so you can sign up.
