Death Valley Field Trip - Feb. 4-6, 2020
[image1_left]We are planning an LPA field trip to Death Valley from February 4 through 6. We will meet up on Tuesday February the 4th 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Stove Pipe Wells Store and Gas Station located in Death Valley California to start off this 3 day Death Valley Photo Trip. We will going to the Sand Dunes located near Stove Pipe Wells (after the meet up) to get the Golden Light on the Sand Dunes at Sunset and some possible night photography in the Devils Cornfield.
Wednesday will start off with a Sunrise Shoot at Zabriske Point for great morning light shots and then moving on down the valley to Artists Pallet, Borax Wagon, Salt Flats, Bad Water and end up at Dantes View for some great Sunset Images before Dusk. Those not interested in getting up before dawn can meet at Bad Water at 1:00 PM at the trail head parking lot and then join the group. Thursday we will meet up at Rhyolite Nevada at 10:00 am for some late morning light shots and move to the nearby Mine on the way back to Stove Pipe Wells. We will go to Scotty’s Castle if it is open or go to Ubehebe Crater and or the Race Track ending the day.

There is a $25 dollar entry fee to stay in Death Valley for a week unless you have the Parks Pass; then it is a free entry.
Camping and Lodging is Listed Below:
Camping: Stove Pipe Wells is $14 per day, Furnace Creek is $22 per day, Sunset at Furnace Creek is $14 per day, Texas Springs at Furnace Creek is $16 per day. Reservations are only needed at Furnace Creek.
