Saddleback Photography Contest

In honor of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Saddleback State Park, the Lancaster Photography Association (LPA) is sponsoring a photography contest along with the Poppy Reserve/Mojave Desert Interpretive Association (PR/MDIA).  All photos will be shown at the 50th  Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 30, at 11am.  Images will be judged and ribbons awarded.

Entry is free and open to all amateur photographers (someone who earns less than 50 percent of their income from photography). The LPA is seeking digital entries (limit 10) reflecting the flora, fauna, and activities available at our scenic Saddleback Butte State Park.  Examples:  Desert Animals, Wildflowers, Hiking, Camping, Star Gazing, Sunsets and Joshua Trees, Cloud Formation, Horseback Riding... etc.

Submit digital entries in jpg format (100kb - 4M and maximum dimensions sized to 1024x768 for best viewing.  Submit entries by midnight, October 23, at: http://www.lpaphotography.org/photocomp/index.php?eventID=18. This competition is not restricted to LPA members, but you will need to register with this website in order to participate.

Entrants should have available a signed model release from any person appearing as a subject in an entry, and available if requested.  If the CA Department of State Parks, or Poppy Reserve/Mojave Desert Interpretive Association would like to continue to use any of submitted images, the maker will be contacted.
