Yesterday I stopped by Lake Elizabeth to take some photos.
Birds: I didn't see any vultures so maybe they've headed South for the winter. I did see a Black Capped Night Heron, a Great Blue Heron, a Cormorant, and the usual ducks, Mallard and Mud Hen. There were other smaller birds, of course.
Landscape: I also found that, by going down to the narrow area between the two parts of the lake and using my 18-55 lens, it looks like a river bend rather than a lake. It provides a very nice s-curve in the water. The fall colors are not a brilliant as some locations but there are plenty of muted yellows and oranges. Looking at my pictures I think I might have done better to set my White Balance to Cloudy and had my polarizer on. Still, it was a good shoot.
