I have been looking for a project to do. I just saw, http://www.michael-gordon.com/gallery.php?gallery=joshua Joshua collection. He came to visit LPA and spoke.

I would like to go out and shoot Joshua Trees. My goal is to make a collection of about dozen black/white images over a half dozen outings. Anyone interested in joining me? You do not have do all of the outing I do, but it would fun. I want to start soon, but have it done prior to the Poppy Fest.

I uploaded a sample, of what I was thinking.

That sounds good, and would be an easy local trip. Joshuas lend themselves nicely to black & white (at least when it's done right...)

I am thinking of going out to Ave M and freeway off ramp (south) before Sunrise, Saturday morning and try to get something at sunrise (actual sunrise is 6:58am). I hope to be there at 6:30, there is a dirt road facing south slightly to the right of the off ramp. I think the drive on the dirt road is about 1/4-1/2 mile. There is a few Joshua trees there.
