Earth Day Cleanup - Great Photo Op for AV Events - LPA Photo Comp in May
Volunteers are needed at the 18th annual Earth Day Clean-Up at Saddleback Butte State Park, on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to Noon. Each year, volunteers pitch in to pick up windblown trash at these public lands, in honor of Earth Day.
Volunteers should wear work gloves that fit, sturdy shoes and sun protection, and bring a refillable bottle for water. Special care should be given to ensure that any children who volunteer are properly outfitted and have gloves that fit their hands.
RSVP is not required but is appreciated, to avconservancy@yahoo.com or (661) 943-9000. Volunteers will meet at 9:00 a.m., at the Saddleback Butte Day Use Area, and work until noon, removing litter from the State Park. Enter the park from Avenue J, at 171st Street East.
