My hands are getting cold. Anyone have any suggestions on gloves suitable for handling a camera in cold weather?

I have some convertible mitten/gloves that I just love. They are sort of like gloves with the finger tips cut off and a mitten cover that folds over your fingers. You can wear them like mittens for warmth (the addition of a thermal hand warmer feels extra good), roll back the mitten top, and have your finger tips exposed to operate your camera controls. When it’s really cold, I also wear a very thin glove liner, that is so slim that I can still fit my hand into the convertible mitten/glove. I bought the convertible mittens on line, and the glove liners at Sport Chalet. Search for convertible photography mittens. Mine are similar to http://www.amazon.com/FLEECE-FINGER-POCKET-MITTEN-GLOVES/dp/B001IM5FIQ/ref=pd_sbs_a_4. They come in fleece, wool, and also waterproof.

Out at the nature preserve, I normally wear Weider fingerless gloves. Basically, they're weightlifter gloves with the fingertips exposed. On cold mornings, fingerless gloves don't work too well.

Instead, to maintain camera control while providing a protective layer over the skin, I wear baseball batters gloves made by Easton that I picked up at Walmart. I went to different sports and outdoor stores trying on what they had. None truly fit mainly in the glove "web" - that area between the thumb and index finger. Since I carry my camera at a ready position at the preserve, with a web that wasn't loose fitting, such would cause muscle strain in the thumb and wrist. The gloves I found at Walmart had a loose web, cost almost nothing compared to the other stores, and provides me the dexterity I need in the field for taking quick "speed" shots while being able to carry my camera at the ready.

Once it gets even colder out here, I will have to upgrade to something else. For now, these work well.
