I've been to this event before so I knew what I was looking for before I got there. About the only lens I used this day was my Sigma 8mm fish eye. The chance to get inside one of these by yourself doesn't come by often. Taking an indoor shot and getting both the indoor and outdoor exposures correct can be a little tricky, especially without a tripod.

Below shots were shot with my Canon 5DII in manual mode. Some of these are straight fisheye, some of the others are fisheye along with a touch of pano (using the finger under the lens trick to keep my nodal point where it should be). Everything hand held. All of these are HDR with bracketing set to -2,0,+2. Used PTgui for pano stitching. Photoshop for the rest.

Edwards AFB will be having an open house next month. Too many people for something like this but I think my 150-500mm and 28-300 should work just fine for that one. I suspect Ill have my fisheye with me but it's going to be very difficult to keep people out of the pictures using that so I may just end up taking it for a ride. It doesn't get out much.

I'm thinking sometime next week heading down to the Queen Mary's boiler room. That would be cool. Dark shadows would be my main concern but with the high ISO of the 5d, I think I should be able to pull it off. The lit areas are gong to blow out so HDR is going to come into play somewhere along the line. I may use some off camera flash. We'll see......
