STAPLES is once again offering $3 certificates (good for anything at Staples) when you turn in an empty ink cartridge... any brand, even generic. There is a limit of 10 per month, per customer. Gotta love a good deal!

There is a store called Cartridge World in the same building as Panera Bread at the Lowes Center in Lancaster. Check with them before throwing anything out Smile They may take them, or something. Other places like 123inkjets.com (in Simi Valley) or inkjetsuperstore.com may have a recycling program as well.

But for now, taking them to Staples is ok. However, do you get the $3 right then or do you get a coupon in the mail at the end of the quarter? That happened to me recently.

I just turned in my 10 generic ink cartridges at Staples. They no longer issue certificates on the spot, but mail out your reward (quarterly I believe). I earned myself $30 in rewards for the month of February Big Grin Your reward money needs to be used at Staples. It's a great deal!

Before, I was putting them in my E-Waste box. The Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (AVECC) is open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 AM to 3 PM and located at the Antelope Valley Public Landfill in the City of Palmdale. It's free of charge for residents of Antelope Valley to drop-off their Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Electronic Waste (E-waste).
