The poppy festival page is up. If you're interested in manning one of the booths, the earlier you get you name on the list, the more choice of dates and times are available.

I'd like to volunteer if for no other reason than to be able to hang out with LPA club members for a while and get to know more people within LPA. However, as the "animal guy" for the preserve, I'll be at the PDWP booth to answer critter questions. Plus, this gives me my once-yearly chance to pow wow with state game, park rangers and local wildlife rescue people all at one time. Let me see how my schedule with PDWP plays out and maybe I can pull a shift or two at the LPA booth. It's early yet and I really do want to get more active in LPA.
