I'm starting to play around with PSE 7. What a program!!!

My question:
Multiple picture delete in "import" mode - how do I do that? I checked my manual, followed directions that are not necessarily associated with Import (pictures "with" tags), and no luck.

Also, assigning - moving - multiple pictures to a particular tag. This one at a time thing is driving me nuts.

you should be able to select multiple pictures by holding down the shift key and selecting them with a left click on your mouse then hit delete
on a mac I think it is the shift key also you hold down for selecting more than one in a row

Good Luck

I met up with Don last night at the discussion group and was able to answer his question. It's very simply a "windows" selection procedure, and not specific to PSE7. When in the organizer, you can left click your first photo in a series, the hold the shift key down and left click to select the last item in the series (or row), then let go of the shift key, all those items are now SELECTED, once selected, you can left click on the tag you wish to apply to those selected photos, left click, drag and drop to one of the selected photos and all will be "tagged" with the tag you want.

If you have just imported photos, and wish to tag all of them, you can do a control+a, for a select all, and drag and drop the tag as described above.

Hope this helps.

Perhaps this is a variation, I had to fiddle with this to get it right. To batch delete or move to a tagged category, left click the first one, hold down "Ctrl" key, click on all of those pictures you want to batch handle, let go of Ctrl key then either drag one of the pictures to your choosen tag or select delete.

What I was running into, the first and last selected pictures, since they were the only ones to be selected, were the only ones to be batch handled. What was in the middle stayed there, uneffected.

OK. Now I know how to do this. Thanks ya'll kindly for your help. I do declare, the wonderful ladies of LPA, sweet as a Georgia peach on pickin' day. Yes, they are.

Holding down the Control button allows you to select non-contiguous items. Holding down the shift button instead to select contiguous items. Left click on an item at the beginning of a row, then hold the shift button down, left click on the last item in a row, and it should select all items from the first to the last in that contiguous row.

Hope that helps.
