I was wondering if the digitals are judged separately from the prints. There arent many digital categories. So If I were to enter only digitals and I had some portraits..they would go in Misc? and be judged against MIsc prints?

Digitals are their own division and are only competing with other digital entries. Digital will compete with prints though for Best of Show.
We limited the number of classes in digital because we were unsure how much participation we would get in these divisions. We were also worried about any possible glitches in our Take-In program. If it turns out to be popular, next year we'll add more classes.
So yes, Portraits and anything else that doesn't belong in the first four digital classes will have to go in misc.
Judging of digital will be done very similarly to the way our LPA digital competition entries are judged.
