At last Friday's Discussion Group meeting several of us decided to hold a special session on Photoshop Elements and post processing in general. As such we will be bringing in our laptops and sharing our knowledge with each other and everyone who wants to join us. This will be informal and, depending on turnout, may break into multiple small groups.
While the focus is on Photoshop Elements some of us will bring in other software capable of post processing such as Photoshop CS2 or 3, Canon, Windows, and other common software. My personal preference is to address post processing in more generic terms, that is how to adjust brightness, contrast, color, and such no matter what software you use. So, if you don't have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements then just bring in what you have or look over our shoulders at what we have.
This is not a formal workshop, just something we've decided to do for ourselves and anyone interested in joining us. None of us are experts so please don't expect us to get deep into layers or other complicated stuff. We'll leave that to the experts.
We're hoping for a big turnout, though the timing may not be convenient for everyone. We'll be meeting at the Denny's on the NW corner of Ave K and 20th West in Lancaster at 5:30 P.M. on Friday, January 29th (this coming Friday). When everyone tires of post processing we'll slip into our usual Friday night Discussion Group babble but we'll still be there to answer questions until about 8:30 PM.
The folks at Denny's were delighted at the idea of us coming in early and we'll have our usual section to ourselves. Some of our regulars purchase only coffee or other drinks and this is never an issue. You will not be obliged to purchase anything. Of course, if you get thirsty or hungry they have a good selection of drinks and food.
